ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Nancy received her BS degree in Fine Art at Skidmore College, specializing in graphic design. She worked at Vogue magazine and Grolier International as an art director before opening her own award winning graphic design company, Mygatt Design of 35+ years.  

Nancy later served as Vice President of the Washington Art Association in Washington Depot, CT, volunteering in the gallery and special events as well as teaching art classes.  She also became a member of the Speckled Ax artist collective under the tutelage of Trey Friedman where she further developed her ideas within the medium of drawing.  Nancy's award winning work has been exhibited formally in multiple galleries and has participated in national and international juried exhibitions.  She currently owns and operates Studio Faxon, creating sculpture, wearable art and jewelry in Westerly, RI.
